RE: Le Pan S, HSN Todays Special 9/18/2012
Well, I purchased the Le Pan S from HSN for $259 with a 15 app pack. When I checked online, HSN was the only seller and they sold out. I have been wanting a tablet but didn't want to spend a lot of money and prefer an android. While I might have paid a few dollars more, I liked the ability to use it for 30 days.
So far, I am happy with it, but don't really have anything to compare it to.
Only problem is that I cannot get the screen to rotate. I have been on hold for almost a half hour for customer support to get this sorted out.
Anyone know how to remedy this? Is there a setting that I need to activate?
Also, a separate forum for the S model would be nice:-)

I saw in a different post that you sorted out your rotate issue. Welcome to the forums! I think you are our first S model member! I am sure an S board will be coming soon.

John already asked for it on the Staff forum. Tongue

Yet, I am not looking forward to another "Cases for TC-xxx" thread, to be perfectly honest. Wink

Yeah, eventually therer will be some new areas, I proposed we verify if the Matsunichi Marquispad MP-977 is the same as the new LP S or not; I think it is, just a diff sticker name. New forum should cover both if that's the case.

technically a marquispad is not a le Pan so I think we just need to focus on Le Pan. We don't need an accessories forum but there are going to be all brand new issues unique to the Le Pan S.

From JohnA2u Le Pan II, 4.0.4 ICS update v406- Rooted, Le Pan S Jellybean stock, HP TouchPad CM10.

Previous tablets Coby kyros 7015(rooted- Tipster) and 7022. Le Pan tc970.

I disagree, as any Le Pan is really a Matsunichi. Smile

And all of them come from the same plants in Shenzen, the House of Matsunichi.

Decision on this should be dbaybay's, but it's like a Chevy forum not talking about a Pontiac variant, imo. Wink

I don't think we need a separate domain/forum for MarquisPad, but that's my opinion. Let dbay think it out. Wink

RE: Le Pan S, HSN Todays Special 9/18/2012 [EXPIRED]
I just received my new Le Pan S from Home. Got it on their flex pay, pay it off in 4 payments. Got a case to protect here at home. Have 30 days to play with too.

My Le Pan 2, as some are a were of has been acting up; the screen, sound, light, some other features - returning it sounds practical, it is under Warren ty for a new one in return. Excuse, but true, addicted to my Le Pan 2; and I just can not be without a tablet. Well, one might ask why not get another lp2?

I want the upgrade to ice cream, that's a reason for buying the S - might be some trade offs, that's for me to rationalize one could say.

I'm like a kid waiting for Xmas tomorrow for I have not had the time and assistance to help me open the box, not until tomorrow - as soon as I've had a chance to get my 'hands & stylus on it, I'll give a review to report for all members, sharing my findings, etc.

The box is across the room, just waiting for me, boy, can hardly wait to dig in and play with it tomorrow.

Thanks John for your help and info, it has gone along way - you are a great guy - I want everybody to know it from me -

Rick
